I generate this guidance for my friends and those people out there who wish to use their Baiduri MasterCard CashCard (BMC) to the fullest. One way to get your BMC to get active is to link it with the world famous and safest online money transaction payment which is PayPal.
PayPal is very convenient, it can also protect your identity by mean they won’t reveal or expose your credit card or your bank account number to the reciever (seller). Heard of eBay before? Yes, the best way and safest to be a eBayer or eSeller on the world famous auctions is to use PayPal.
Since PayPal is one of the favorites mean of online payment ,thus most online merchant use it for their client and buyers. Other example of online merchant using PayPal is the one of the famous download Easy Filehosting, RapidShare.
I’ll cut my story short, and below are the full tips and guide to successfully link your BMC with PayPal:
- First get your affordable Baiduri MasterCard CashCard from your nearest Baiduri Bank.
- Top Up it at least $10 for a start and don’t use it: NEVER DO ANY TRANSACTION! from this point.
- Register for (free) Personal iBanking, and FAST mobile service from Baiduri. Why? So you can easily top up your mastercard anytime, if your shortage of $$ in your BMC. *from 10pm to 3:30am top up is unavailble. (Only for Baiduri Account holder for iBanking)
- Create a new email account. Why? Because this email will be your private email where no one will know it as to send forwarded emails or Junk email to it. This email is only for your confidential emails such as from ebay/paypal/moneybookers, etc and any other confidential emails that i have not mention. Preferable use a Gmail Account. And you can download Gmail Notifier to notify and update you a real time new email notification on your desktop, well on your taskbar to be specific.
- Create a Paypal Account. Please make sure you put your detail very well and no bullshit input. Be honest especially on your address. This Address is very important as some merchant, eBay seller only like to send your item using your PayPal register address. Don’t forget to confirm your email.
- Add Credit Card. Import your card number very carefully.
- Paypal will create a small transaction of USD$1.95 (deduction/credit) on your CrediCard for verification. Don’t worry they’ll refund this back into your account. Along with it, they’ll be a printed UNIQUE EXPANDED NUMBER on your credit card statement too. You can check it online, or wait by the end of the month to receive your monthly credit card statement.
- PLEASE WAIT! and BE PATIENCE!!! for at least 4 business day or 1 week or MORE. 1 WEEK SHOULD BE FINE! For you to receive Your unique EXPANDED USE NUMBER and printed onto your Credit Card Statement. AND don’t try to be smart and guess and mess and input your smarty ass own expanded use number on your PayPal account. Just leave it and sign out First!
- This is because, You’ll be receiving a PayPal transaction of USD$1.95 on your Credit Card transaction, and during the first 4 days, the transaction ID is still floating and you won’t get and able to see the given unique expanded use number as it is still unrevealed.
- As for BMC, you will not be receiving a Credit Card statement by the end of each month; so after about a week since you add your credit card information on PayPal. Kindly Visit Baiduri Card Center at Kiarong.
- At Baiduri Card Center, kindly ask them to print your transaction while presenting your MasterCard CashCard with your Indentity Card towards them.
- You can also just ask them to view your transaction and ask them to locate “PayPal Transaction” and ask them to read what the figure next to PayPal. But I prefere them to print for me. JUST ASK THEM TO PRINT!
- When you received the printed transaction (unofficial card statement), locate the PayPal transaction which is somewhat like this example: PayPal 1234*(EXPUSE).
- The four figure (1234) is the expanded use number that YOU SHOULD enter on your Credit Card Verification on your PAYPAL account. Be safe and never share the number with another human being or computer.
- After you have entered your Expanded Use Number, your enrollment will be COMPLETE. and you can straight away use your PayPal account. BUT MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A SUFFICIENT FUND on you BMC. Don’t try to buy something with no money on your BMC, or you’ll get trouble from your ebuying merchant and from Baiduri Bank :S

Now you have your MasterCard Cash Card linked with your PayPal, have fun and sign up with several websites that offer PayPal transaction. eBay should be the first. Don’t forget to read on my eBay tips at my Tips and Trick Section.

I bought dis cash card few days ago n i try 2 register dcard @ my paypal a/c bt had been denied. So i call baiduri and dey told me i shud top up dcard b4 doin anyting. So i did topup dcard but wen i try 2 reg it, still denied. Any ideas?

True, we cant accept money and withdraw it from a bank account.
Refund and sending is the current availability service for Brunei PayPal account. :)

I think $10 was the promotion price.. hmm why dont you call Baiduri Bank, or visit the nearest branch. Just bring around 40$ i think its efficient to bring it home.
It’s BND36 for the card and an additional BND15 for having your name printed on the card. On the other hand, SCB Cash card costs BND25 and name printing is also BND15. Both are valid for 3 years
so how to withdraw money from paypal?
Sorry, currently, Brunei does not inclusion on the withdraw money through Brunei Bank. But for refund, yes, it will be refund directly to your Credit Card. Correct me if I’m wrong..

I’m sorry, I’m not brave enough to use my Debit Card with PayPal, I only experience using Credit Card and Cash Card.
Advices on Baiduri Debit card is beyond my knowledge, please visit your nearest Baiduri Bank for further advices from them.

The PayPal Verification? Well technically you can call Baiduri Bank, or you can visit the Baiduri Bank Card Centre at Kiarong. =)

Do u know how to top up the paypal balance? Im currently using my debit card for paypal. the only thing i can do with my paypal now is to send money, however i cannot choose “Personal Payment” as i have got ZERO balance on my paypal. the only way to send is “pay for goods or services”. The receiver has complaint that there are bank charges on their side.
any idea how? Baiduri is being a complete no-help

You cannot top up balance via paypal, this only can be done by top up your debit card instead. paypal will charge a fee about 4% to those recieve the money that’s why they don’t get the full amount that they will received.
The thing is there is no credit card statement for Baiduri Mastercard Cashcard. So basically how am I gonna register paypal when I couldnt retrive the activation code?
Please visit Baiduri Card Centre, Kiarong if you want to print your statement and see for yourself the activation code. But you can simply just call Baiduri Bank (card centre) but make sure to call them after 7 days of payment test from paypal.
ive already did all of the steps. however, paypal doesnt seems to show my balance in my paypal account. its still $0.00. hence i cant purchase anything fom ebay etc. help?
ps: im using baiduri cashcard btw.
1) Have you verified your MasterCard Cashcard with Paypal?
2) If verified, you don’t have to worry. Just top up with the sufficient amount.
3) The PayPal balance is always $0.00 :D
Hi. Could I just get the statements from one of the machines where we can top-up the BMC? Does it have to be from the counter?
The statement? Hmm.. I never tried printing any statement yet by using an ATM. But may I suggest you to call the Baiduri Card Centre. It is much convenient too. Just ask for the PayPal verification code or transaction on your statement. I’m sure they will figure it out. =)

Yeah, just call the card centre. I went for print at the card centre in kiarong for my 1st and 2nd Baiduri MC Cash Card. But for my 3rd, I just call them over the phone for my paypal verification. btw good luck. Let say you failed once for the verification no. Don’t try it again, just visit the card centre for statement print. Btw your welcome. Remember allow a week after you have input your card no. at paypal website.

I’m sorry. Since i’m not experience with BIBD Debit Card, or any debit card linked with my PayPal account, I can’t really say for your own good.
Personally, I would never link my PayPal account with any of my debit card. Debit card is technically withdrawing from your “real” money from your Bank Account.
I still prefer Credit, and I still really really prefer using my MasterCard CashCard.

Did you entered 3 times for the 3 activation? Did you called the Baiduri Card Centre after 7 days registering with PayPal?
its a 4 digits activation code, you can get it after you have just register it a few minutes ago, then call the baiduri card centre for the activation code.
I use my paypal that is linked with BMC to purchase items from a website and used paypal checkout express, but the order is cancelled. Tried several times, but still display the same result. Do you think it’s because of the $0 paypal balance?
Nope, my PayPal balance is always $0.00, are you sure you have sufficient dollars in your BMC according to the foreign excnge?
Yes, I’ve checked my balance in my card. I guess the problem lays on the website.
Another question: to use the paypal, you could send payment, even though it is zero balance?

Ive applied for an SCB Mastercard cashcard which works similarly like the Baiduri cashcard and I do not have an account with SCB. Ive already verified my paypal account once (status:verified). My problem is, I tried purchasing stg on ebay but in the end before I cud confirm the payment, paypal says I cant proceed because I have no bank account.
Have you encountered such problem?
my ‘sending limits’ have been lifted and when I try to ‘add/edit’ bank accounts, PP says the option isnt available. advice? do you have a bank account with Baiduri prior to purchasing from ebay?
I just got an email from PP customer support- this is what they have to say:
PayPal does not recommend adding a gift card, prepaid card, virtual card, or one time use credit cards to your PayPal account as a funding source. Although some of these cards may be accepted, most will not function correctly with our system due to the security checks we have in place. PayPal is not an online store, where these types of cards were
intended to be used, and in order to properly facilitate our service, the traditional credit card or debit card is preferred.
I think they mean the debit card that comes with a bank account. Funny that your Baiduri works but not my SCB cash card.

4 digit tu selalunya dalam masa 3-4 days working days. but kalau bulih tungu saja 7 hari lah to be safe. sal informationnya masih floating tu.
Yatah baik nya lepas 7 hari lah ko aga Baiduri Bank Centre, inda payah balik2, and confirm tu.
Baiduri card centre ada tu arah depan jame asri, arah kiraong ah.. baris depan nya dengan bank baiduri jua.

Your welcome (: oh i suggest you not to play with the 4 digits code anymore. If mistakes repeatedly, they will block your card permanently.
You don’t have to visit Baiduri Card Centre, Kiarong. You can simply call them at 245 4187. But do call them after 3 working days.
Personally, I recommend after 7 working days.
