This is a very important facts about using the world most popular online auction which is eBay. This is to make sure that your item are processed as normal as expected by all people who have used eBay facilities for several years (since 1995, September 3rd, San Jose, California, United States).

Here are the emails list that you should get to complete the buying process.

  1. [SKIP to 2 if your buying the item with 'Buy Now''] You will first get a confirmation email for ‘Your eBay bid is confirmed’.
  2. You will get ‘You won eBay item:…‘ to indicate you won the item for bidding or buy it now and reminds you to pay your item. Sometimes you will also received this kind of email ‘Congratulation email‘ but sent by the seller auto mail payment such as auctiva.com payment method, if the seller are using it.
    - Then you must go through your payment either using PayPal (preferred) or any method that is provided by the seller.
  3. You will get a receipt payment email from PayPal (upon completing payment through PayPal), or any method of payment provider.
  4. Auto email send by Seller telling the transaction of purchase or business are completed, just a summary of your business, can also be sent by Auctiva.com (eBay seller solution).
  5. Auto or manual email send by seller telling you that your payment has already received by them, sometimes they will add information when they will send the items, such as in 12 hrs, within 24 hrs or 1-3days etc.
  6. Lastly, the email of ‘Your eBay Item have been shipped‘. This is very important email, as you must know if your item have been delivered for shipping.

Other tips from my personal experience for successful transaction are:

  1. Contact the seller 1st to make sure his/she’s around doing his/her selling item on eBay before bidding or buying the item, just to make sure your dealing with a seller not a ghost :). Also to make sure the seller are available at that time so there is no delay on shipment after you have completed your payment.
  2. Make sure the seller are willing to sent to your country, you can check the item’s shipment policy on the item page or you can kindly contact the seller him/herself.
  3. In case your wondering, shipment distributor MOST have closing time, so for United States most of them are closed during weekends (Saturday and Sunday). So I guess its better to do transaction during working day as most shipping distributor are open for seller to sent the item as soon as possible. This is just to make sure if you want your item to be shipped as soon as possible. This is not necessarily, just be patience and let the seller have a chance to delivered the goods at his/her comfort.
  4. USE PAYPAL! Safest and Fastest! (Register here! for free) You can file for report/refund if something ‘bad’ happens to your item.
  5. Get the price of shipping 1st before bid. Convert the expected US$/GBP/AU$/Euro total payment and convert it to your country currency. Bid for the total amount that your willing to pay! Be aware of your budget or be square. haha
  6. Take note on the delivery time, also take note on when did the item are shipped. 3 important ‘Time’ to remember. a) When is the item delivered, b) Expected delivery time, c) limit/expired time (maximum time or date for the item to be considered lost or unreachable), contact the seller for inquiry then.
  7. Give insurance to your items, its cheap, you can also get tracker for your item, ask the seller to give you the necessary information so you can check it through the shipping website such as, USPS, FedEX, UPS, British Royal Mail, AusPost, etc.
  8. Have a pleasant communication with the seller and be patience.

Although with this beautiful tips of ebaying, somehow things can go wrong too. It’s just life, so I wont insure and gurantee you with this tips. All i can say is be safe and Good luck eBayer!

Ok thats all from me I guess, tips for eBay-ing.
