I just bought *randomly* a blue mug with a cute smiley face on it. I was thinking this would be a great daily coffee mug for my life at Temburong District. Oh yes, I haven’t blog about my current life at Temburong. I’m trying to settle everything first before I take time to rant my journey of Temburong.

But above all things, I would love to say thank you to all those who indeed help me to “successfully” be in Temburong district for the first time. The thanks especially goes to Adi, Razif and Lejan for the cause you have done to us (+ Hasanal & Hadi). Its really a great hospitality, and I wish i could repay your guys deeds. In short, Temburong is very much Bruneian *seriously I don’t even know what that mean :S Beside these people, My new school is threatening me well, and I hope it will goes like that forever.

I love graphic arts. Seriously I do.. I appreciate them.. but not the same way I appreciate movies, dramas or musics. Graphic arts gives an alternative way of expression, which need to be understood by the creative one (Who can see or feel).  I’m no fluent on arts, so I won’t really talk much about it, but for a record I am an Adobe Photoshop user I like to create logo for myself and do some graphic/web designing when I have my techno Mojo on.

I’m suppose to be sleeping right now, Coz I need to take my Letter from The Department of Schools,  Brunei. But I think I can handle 2-3 hours of sleep before driving there.

Well recently, I have a feeling to read art blog; technically searching for a designed theme for this personal blog of mine. Yes, I’m searching for a new WordPress Theme. I wanted it to be simple, easy and clean yet give a fresh feeling. I like simple; simple make life easy.

So I end up visiting this simple white skin theme of Tumblr (a free blog for people, just like blogger.com). The theme was created by a guy name Matthew Stubbings (Or just Matt) of Toronto, Canada. He label his project works as DOIN’ Work (You can visit his DOIN’ WORK at http://doinwork.tumblr.com/). In the same time going through his theme, my head speaks that I want this theme on WordPress. Its really nice, you should go have a visit on his work. Or his Personal Website or something like a Portfolio site at http://www.mattstubbings.com/ . He also produce Music/ Djs Part-time check his DOIN’ Music at http://doinmusic.com/ I call this person SUPER ART!

Click by Clicks, I stumble most of his art designs; and all I can say is, ITS VERY Impressive and beautiful. I wish I was gifted with art ability, where a person can draw, or sketch graphic easily and maybe do some Gravity Art in the free moment. Arts is simply beautiful. I should contact Matt soon, just to say Hi and if he can give me a free WordPress Theme hahaha.

1. I miss my WWF (then; now WWE) era in the 1998 – 2000. I miss Steve Austin (Stone Cold), The Rock, The Long Hair Christian (Cage) – Jason Reso, Owen Hart, The God Father, The Generation X etc… Many years flown by, and I’m Happy to see Christian (but now with short Hair haha). He was on TNA for 3 years (2006-2008), but now he returns to WWE.

Open House

At 4+pm I went to Brother Ton house with Brother Bob. Brother Ton’s was having an open house for his family, cousins and friends. I love it when I go there. Most of the time I’ll visit the cribs to spend time with BOJs. I love the bakso. Bakso is like  their family cuisine which is awesome. I love their Bakso deliciously good. enough said.

If I’m not mistaken, I’m the youngest BOJ in term of SOASC 2005 batch, but technically, there’s one boj who is younger than me (I Think). The point that I’m telling you this that, much of BOJ is more mature than me. Which is good. For me, although I’m more knowing in terms of whats happening in the rest of the world, but I’m still the childish kid around them. Speaking of mature, I learn a lot from their perspectives. I learn a lot financially from brother Man. So it wonderful to hang out with them.

Financially Inadequate

Speaking of finance, I’m definitely in trouble. Having only less than $2k monthly in the future will not theoretically be adequate for my living. Its Saving vs Needs Vs Wants. As Bro Man have said to me, I have massive list on my wish. Which is apparently true *shame on you lid*. Sometime I hate myself for being too desire about things. My wish will compromise on DVDs, going to the theater, eBay, Amazon, traveling, Sushi, several gadgets such as iPod, Computers accessories, internet website fees (and underwear per annual haha) and lots more. Because of this wants with my financial future status, I’m definitely will be in trouble.

All I can do is cut some of my list. But still I can’t decide which things to cut loose. Argh! If only I have own a Bachelor Degree or at least HND, it would be quite easy. Now, what I can do is to deal with it, and find a solution for it. But theater, DVDs and Traveling to USA should stay.. and Sushi too hehe.

I’m grateful for the BOJs, most of us are working already, and some really do get a good monthly salary feed back. And its not wrong to say, I envy them. Right now, I just need to be financially intelligence.

Credit Cards, own it? Or not?

I have a good talk with Brother Man about credit cards, and yes most of my friends disgrace for applying Credit Cards. And I’m the opposite guy. They don’t like Credit Cards because:

• The yearly fee is a waste, especially you have no intention to use them;
• Having credit cards will get them closer to debts.

Its true. For me having these credits cards, “Its my life style”. I don’t mind paying the yearly fees because I’m definitely going to use the service. I won’t use credit cards if I don’t have the actually money inside my account. And I do a lot of things with credit card such as ebay-paypal and Amazon :S. I use credit cards, because I stick with their Mojo, I’ll promise to pay it. And I won’t use it if I’m not sufficient. I know, this sounds like I should just own a VISA Electron or Debit Card; because the transaction will be much easier, which is directly the payment is debited on my account. But do remember Visa Electron/Visa Debit Card or MasterCard’s Maestro and SOLO is not hugely accepted around this world’s merchants. For the records, I do have both :S

So ideally (from my opinion) – I think you need to get two credit cards “brand”. Visa is a must and MasterCard will be an alternative, and if you have American Express it will be an advantage. At least own it for safety reasons; such as if your on your vacation or trip outside the country, or let’s say you missed judge the amount money you have in your wallet during your payment. Seriously Credit Cards can be lot of handy and can be a hero too.

My only advice is, be safe handling Credit Cards, and use it if you sure you can pay for it soon* and enjoy it. *Soon as in less than 24hrs

Footie Night with McDonald’s

Football (or Soccer for USA people) was so not good especially for LiverpoolFC fans (including me). Chelsea scored 2 goals (Anelka and Malouda) and NIL for Liverpool. On the early match Arsenal was celebrating a wonderful day as they scored 6 (Vermaelen, Persie, Arshavin, Fabregas, Walcott Bendtner) – 2 (Zonzi and Dunn) against Blackburn.

I want Xabi Alonso back And Jamie Carragher should perform better! or you will be replace by Arne Friedrich (well I wish!).

But the good thing about this match, (that I can be happy about).. While watching the games, my 2nd sis treat an take away Double Cheese Burger from McDonal’s and French Fries for ME!. Sweet! and $5 dollars Easi Cards hahaha .Thankx Sis.

I feel my Raya is simple today, nothing much exciting about it. We left home @ two pm. Started at my 1st cousin, which is somewhere at Tanjong Bunut. It was really a hot day, and I was a driver to my dad, while my sister use her car to drive the rest of the family. My dad complained: I drove too fast. Dad, I think your car is a sport car?

After that we went to Baitul Athirah, a private compound somwhere in Beribi. Two of my Aunts live there, which we like to address them as Babu Yayah and Babu Wawa . I used to spend  there 1mnth + at the end of 2003. It was fun, I spend most of the morning shopping at Tamu Bandar with Babu Yayah or Pasar Gadong. Yes, I really did bond with Babu Yayah for a while. And one day, me and my cousins was so bored, we clean one of the car. haha yeah! it was totally random and surrounded by ducks or was it a Swan?! Babu Yayah and Babu Wawa is the most friendly and kind people that every one should meet, yeah they are awesomely nice people.. I always pray for their health and prosperity.

Oh we went for a short visit to Kg. Mata-Mata one of my mum family reside there too, its like Babu Yayah and Babu Wawa niece live there (family of Babu Qula). I can’t remember when Babu Qula pass away.. my memory is fading.. I think its was two years ago. Babu Qula is one of the sisters of Babu Yayah and Babu Wawa, and yes we all miss her. Al-Fati’ah.

My last destination of the day was… My Aunt Hjh Armah of Lambak Kiri. haha She’s the best. bullied by her and her sons and daughters.. I don’t know why? but it become a natural phenomena every time I meet them. We have a very-healthy-funny-fighting relationship LOL.

It was my last destination of the day because I wasn’t feeling well. So dad let me drive alone and go straight home, while the rest of my family continued their Raya journey.

As you might come across on the Internet, Kris Allen just released his new fresh single called “Live Like We’re Dying” after his coronation song “No Boundaries“. Its a tittle similarity to Tim McGraw original.

One thing that I’m very disappointed about this new song of his, is that, this song have also been covered by an Irish Band called The Script. The arrangement style is a perfect impersonation of The Script cover. I’m not that really happy too, I believe the 1st single of his should be original written and composed by special and talented composer.

For this, its like a cover of what he previously done during his weekly moment at American Idol.

But I hope it can reach a hit, but I’m more confident his new album as a whole will; which has not yet been named, will be great. The schedule of Kris Allen new album is on November 17 (which is the same date OneRepublic releases their 2nd Album “Waking Up“).

Since we live in a private area, clustered with four brothers of my dad; who is living in the nearest neighborhood, we assume that, this Raya will be the typical Raya.  But NO, Our Zuhur Time Prayer hit with unusual “visitors”; visitors of more than 40 people (adults and children). An idealistic to our heart will be, “Open with a welcoming heart to our visitors” True.. but this time my heart went for the sins.

Our 1st day typical Raya, is the most precious in our Raya month. Its when, we visit and we get visited by the 1st cousins and least from the 2nd cousins. But the 40+  people are beyond expected. Out of the 40+ people only 4 were recognized as my dad’s sister, her husband and their two daughters.

The feelings is horrible; part of it is being ashame of ourself, and part of it I question “Why?”

We are running out of Sake cup, literally. We only have about special 60 cups for our Raya season. Since our house is small; our living room is even smaller. Probably 15-20 visitors are ideal to be seated on our provided couch.

As I mention earlier we live near with four houses, it would be a grateful thing, if the 40+ people would divide themselves in 3 groups, thus going into a rotational scheme.

I just don’t get it, my family don’t get it either. My mum peacefully says, “more the merrier”. But not for me; this is some kind of upsetting and it give a sense of difficulties to our own rights. I put on a heavy smile, and it is very hard to content it.

With this tragedy, this won’t be an easy mood. Its usually peaceful, and fun during the 1st of Shawwal. Usually I got the chance to- you know make certain jokes and all, but after 1 o’clock my energy is no way to be found. I’m seriously exhausted. Extreme exhausted.

We have different style of “open house”. The 1st day is FOR the 1ST COUSINS. Friends open house will be on a different date set up by my sisters and I usually don’t invites my friends. hehe. And before I lived in Subok Villa, my dad has his own open house for his colleague.

We question, why is this year different? We believe that since His Majesty’s Palace close due to the H1N1 precaution.

We have decided we should take two maids for next year Hari Raya, just to be easy on the work loads. At least we hope it to be a functional Hari Raya like all the previous Raya.

My Mum side visited us, and some from my dad side, so I’m happy again.. Happy Raya Aidil Fitri Everyone.. But seriously, I’m not a fan of Raya.. The meaning of Shawwal have change: Free food and Ang pow only. It should be about being united and thankful after a months of fasting.

Lastly visiting to a house you barely know, WHAT IS THE POINT!!? The “Aunt and Uncle” should know better, they visit our house yearly, and bringing the unknown 40+ people, what is the point? They create a dysfunctional to our Raya. But the system of giving ang pow faster, does work.. after ang pow.. they vanished.  They only came for the sake of the $$? Who knows? You tell me, Waalahuaklam =)

For the record, i skipped my Aidil Fitri Prayer, Yeah I’m a bad boy.

You gotta love this new single ‘All The Right Moves‘ (officially released on September 22, 2009) from their coming new album called ‘Waking Up‘. Waking Up is their second studio album after their first album called ‘Dreaming Out Loud‘ which was released on November 20, 2007. Waking Up is schedule to be release on  November 17, 2009.

By words, I can’t really describe OneRepublic songs, most of it I find it as unhappy condition; for example their first ever single ‘Apologize‘ being “Its too late to apologize” is something that you actually don’t want to be in. And their new single ‘All The Right Moves‘ is even more depressing, by repeating that “they (We) are going down”. Reviewing back from their first album, I assimilate their song lyrics to be an “out reaching” album and its kinda like shouting for “help” type of genre. So I’m really looking forward hows the arrangements of their coming new album this November.

Trivia: I started to love OneRepublic, on the day Apologize was premiere (re-released) in September 2007. Original Released in 2006.
