I end up naming my project “Digital Technologies Fostering Brilliant Learners In Education” with English language as my choice of subject and my Year 3 students as my audience.

It wasn’t a competition in mind until I had to submit another form which should contain full details of my project. This time I was motivated to read through all the requirements thoroughly. So it was a competition. Well, it still doesn’t  really bother me. All I need to do at that time was finish the project on time. However, it was rather a last minute submission too. The project implementation was ok; but writing and compiling the project report was another story. I end up finishing it till dawn. I did not get enough sleep before the 1st day at the STEPs centre.

It was still not a competition to me; I felt more like an opportunity to share my innovation pedagogy to others. My id say, its a sharing session. However that mindset did not last longer. Last week; I received a memo with the heading: “Judgement for Educator Innovation Competition Project”; and it stated to bring a laptop.

I was in shock. So I emailed the organizer for my curiosity on why do I need to bring my laptop. Their responds was: there’ll be a presentation. Honestly, there were no earlier information on doing any presentation. Hence I’m new to this whole idea. It was creepy. I was having cold feet. So I had to hangout with a friend to neutralize it.

I was nervous more than I could remember the last time. I like doing presentation; but I never like enrolling myself to a presentation to be judge to win. It creeps me; its not my comfort zone.

Today was the day of my presentation. I kept telling myself that, I came to share not to compete. Well at least it helps the nerve. I arrived safely to STEPs Centre, and to my arrival I witness few teachers was already working on their presentation slides. Their slides looks very gorgeous. I can feel their effort of winning.

My side? Well, honestly my efforts was  focusing on my share; my pedagogy and methodology. It was presentation for both teacher and students centered. I felt slight sorry for myself; I wish I could have done better if I set winning as a goal. But as I said, certain competition do give me the creeps.

What I learn from today was pretty satisfactory. I have a good time with seniors and experience teachers (8 teachers) from Chung Hwa Middle School BSB; 1 teacher from SR Jerudong, 1 teacher from Chung Ching Middle School KB. They are not shy to share their teaching and experience. It was good. I have high respect for them. They have been teaching for almost 30 years! And for me, I just hit my 2nd year anniversary. I would love to learn from them again. Their pedagogy are unique and I want to embrace it. I also meet up with a teacher who did educational flash software. And she truly wonders me. They also help to cool down my nerve too. I also envy their determination and spirit. Yes, I was glad to be there. Its like I was meant to be there. I’m glad. I’m really glad.

Sometime your actual purpose is not the only thing that will make you happy. The route along the journey to achieve that purpose give another meaning to life. The ICT guy, told me that the winners will be selected and invited to New Zealand for ICT Conference. Frankly I wish I could be one of them. I love educational conference; thus it would be a nice experience.

1. I miss Steve Jobs very much. Watched his 10 iconic moments on video. Incredible. Speechless. Then that, I miss him even more.

2. I’m shocked to find out Zachary Quinto come out as gay. Literally I’m not an anti gay. I have many friends who are the same. One of those things you learn from a sister who is a doctor is, everyone will always be human; so everyone is the same. This just shocked me, not ill me; Coz I genuinely did not expected that to come.

3. Chris Pine next movie will be out next year, 2012 on February 17th (US President Day – weekend). Entitled “This Means War”. Also starring: Reese Whiterspoon and Tom Hardy. Filmed in Vancouver, Canada; last November 2010. And I keep telling, yelling to the world and you guys..

4. I think I’ll be visiting Singapore this end of year. First I thought of it; but then I felt lazy. But my sister’s fiance have some agenda for me there. So will just see what happen. What I really want to actually happen when I’m in Singapore is, I want to meet, be friend with Eduardo Saverin (Co-founder of Facebook). And have some coffee and enjoying educational advices from him. 1, 2 tips on web developing and investment.. etc..

A great guy, Rest In Peace Mr Steve Jobs. You will always be remembered.

I sent my project report to STEPS this morning and I’m honoring SJ too. Not really sure if its appropriate.

As a teacher, we ought to have a good printer (multi purpose) to print teaching aids and other associate print outs within the teaching profession/job.

Tim Cook, who reportedly sent out a letter to all Apple employees Thursday morning reassuring them that Apple is not changing course.

Steve Jobs has stepped down from his position as CEO of Apple.

“I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come,” the 55-year-old CEO said in his letter of resignation.

Steve will be replaced by Tim Cook, the company’s current COO. Jobs will become Apple’s chairman of the board of the directors.

Steve’s health has often been in question after he received a liver transplant for pancreatic cancer in 2009.

I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.

I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I would like to serve, if the Board sees fit, as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee.

As far as my successor goes, I strongly recommend that we execute our succession plan and name Tim Cook as CEO of Apple.

I believe Apple’’s brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it. And I look forward to watching and contributing to its success in a new role.

I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you.

The tittle say it all! Recently (September 3rd 2010) I bought my own Apple Macbook Pro 13.3″ inch at AV Electronic, Brunei, at their Main Branch Kiulap. It was early in the morning to pay for it, & I was expecting it for 2 weeks to get it on hands tho, however a kind lady ask me to wait for a while. That time I figure it should be another document to sign on. But then she called my name and say some words, with a box of Apple Macbook Pro on her hands. So there I was, between shock and confused; I was not sure I was happy for it or not, but I think I was rather numb at that moment. The last words she said to me was “Enjoy your new Mac” and I sign off by saying, “Thank You”.

It was very weird, I haven’t yet told my parents that I bought a new laptop, thinking how their reaction would be is a morning nightmare and Ironic I also wasn’t ready to bring it to home too. However, nothing massive reactions produced during the confrontation. I did show off to the parents of the new box I received :)

I’m very please to finally have a macbook as my personal belonging. I dreamt for it for almost 4 years! – Since the Macbook Black 13.3″ inch was released. I’m still waiting for my iPad to arrived too. My list of Apple gadget grew longer after I owned this Macbook. I wish to buy the new iMac, the iPod Touch and also the iPhone 4. Having said that, I need to think twice and more on my final say and action. I need to save some dollars, as I believed someday I would love to do other big “project” with the money I saved.

Its been a long time I have not say anything on this weblog. But for sure some of you who have been waiting for my update, I say thank you. I would also like to say a Big thankx you to Hamdi HT of Medewa Village, for  bringing the ease, kind and optimistic to my life. I love graphic arts. Seriously I do.. I appreciate them.. but not the same way I appreciate movies, dramas or musics. Graphic arts gives an alternative way of expression, which need to be understood by the creative one (Who can see or feel).  I’m no fluent on arts, so I won’t really talk much about it, but for a record I am an Adobe Photoshop user :) I like to create logo for myself and do some graphic/web designing when I have my techno Mojo on.

I’m suppose to be sleeping right now, Coz I need to take my Letter from The Department of Schools,  Brunei. But I think I can handle 2-3 hours of sleep before driving there.

Well recently, I have a feeling to read art blog; technically searching for a designed theme for this personal blog of mine. Yes, I’m searching for a new WordPress Theme. I wanted it to be simple, easy and clean yet give a fresh feeling. I like simple; simple make life easy.

So I end up visiting this simple white skin theme of Tumblr (a free blog for people, just like blogger.com). The theme was created by a guy name Matthew Stubbings (Or just Matt) of Toronto, Canada. He label his project works as DOIN’ Work (You can visit his DOIN’ WORK at http://doinwork.tumblr.com/). In the same time going through his theme, my head speaks that I want this theme on WordPress. Click by Clicks, I stumble most of his art designs; and all I can say is, ITS VERY Impressive and beautiful. I wish I was gifted with art ability, where a person can draw, or sketch graphic easily and maybe do some Gravity Art in the free moment. Arts is simply beautiful. I should contact Matt soon, just to say Hi and if he can give me a free WordPress Theme hahaha.

1. I miss my WWF (then; now WWE) era in the 1998 – 2000. I miss Steve Austin (Stone Cold), The Rock, The Long Hair Christian (Cage) – Jason Reso, Owen Hart, The God Father, The Generation X etc… Many years flown by, and I’m Happy to see Christian (but now with short Hair haha). He was on TNA for 3 years (2006-2008), but now he returns to WWE. :)
